MY FAV FOOD!! WOOOO!!!!

MY FAVORITE FOOD

To even speak about food, I don’t have any food I like in particular because I am not very picky with my food. You can see from my size that I eat a lot of meals a day. I specifically like spicy food that doesn’t make me feel tired of eating it. I eat some food by the spiciness but I will get tired of eating that particular taste after awhile. Spicy food that makes me want to eat it again jus after finishing a bowl of the same food. It must make me feel that e chilly is kind of choking me and that’s what it takes to be very good food to me.
A specific type of cuisine that you can say I truly loves and enjoy eating is the food from Thailand. It has spicy food that makes me addicted to it. I love its tom yum noodles and “pat thai”. “pat thai” is a type of kway teow fried with chili power, sugar, prawns and bean sprouts. It has a unique taste that cannot be found at other countries. Excluding the spicy food in Thailand, the spices and mango sauce is terrific to go with fried fish. What most important is that it can be found in rural areas and it’s cheap. Thailand’s food is also very famous for its sweet desserts. What’s even more enjoying than eat a bowl of cold sweet dessert when you have been under e scorching sun for hours.
Thai cuisine also suits the Singaporean’s taste very since we have grown up with many different food cultures. Hence I hereby announce that the Thai cuisine is my favorite food!

letter to mdm tan

Dear Madam Tan,
How have you been? I haven’t seen you since sec 1. It has been a long time since we last met. I hope you remember me because you have only taught me for awhile. I am currently studying secondary four and preparing for my ‘o’ levels this year.
When school reopened this year, I knew that I had to work extra hard compared to others because I had been sleeping and playing throughout secondary three. Most people in my class had not been serious in their work last year so some of them had to repeat secondary three. I got promoted to secondary four through sheer luck. I realized that some of my subject teachers have been changed and they are teaching very well. I’ve been trying to settle down and study but I dun think I can keep up this pace until the ‘o’ levels are over.
Listening to some of the teachers classes were good because my results improved a lot compared to last year’s results. The teachers are trying very hard to help us and our class has changed for the better. The structured remedials have started and we have to end school late most of the time. It proves to us that the teachers are really very serious about the ‘o’ levels and we have no time to waste. Having structured remedials at the beginning of the year tells me that the ‘o’ levels are not much far away. This year is a year to study and work extra hard. We can sit at the gallery this year and everybody has been hoping to sit in the gallery and I finally have my chance. We had to go through a tough year but at least there is a reward, to sit in the gallery.
Everybody had been controlling their urge to play and go wild. We know if we study hard now and get good results in the end, we will be able to relax and play for a long time. I have been dreaming about how to enjoy life after my ‘o’ levels but it is no use until the time really comes. I hope to see you again in the near future. Goodbye!

Yours sincerely,
Shao Wen

first day of school

MY FIRST DAY AT SECONDARY SCHOOL

On the first day of school at Kent ridge, I was very excited as I would be going to school with strangers and at a totally unfamiliar environment. My friends in primary school went to Tanglin Secondary school. On the other hand, I applied for Kent Ridge Secondary school as first choice and was posted to it. My parents said that my friends were of bad company and since my brother is in Kent Ridge, I should go there too. I had no choice but to obey them.
When I stepped into the school early in the morning, I felt that the school was majestic. Maybe I was small at that time but everything looked extremely big, even the students looked extremely tall. The day started by gathering in the hall and a load of boring talks started. We were dismissed by Mr. Koh Suan Lam back to out classes. I had no sense of security because I knew nobody in class. As usual, the teachers told us to introduce ourselves to the class. A boy caught my attention by being very playful in class. Our work requires us to use a stapler but I had not brought one. I recalled seeing a stapler in that boy’s pencil case so I borrowed it from him. Meanwhile, I saw a name Kelvin written on it.
When I returned the stapler to that boy, I asked if his name was Kelvin and he answered me “yes” with a weird grin on his face. I felt that the name didn’t suit him but a name is just a name. I later found out that his name was Shi Hao and he kept laughing at me for being so gullible. After that, Shi Hao and I met a boy called Benjamin. We started to chat by watching the same show. That’s how the three of us became friends.
